The Eating Addiction Relapse Prevention Workbook: For Compulsive Overeaters, Binge Eaters, and Food Addicts
By Dr. Stephen F. Grinstead and Dr. Shari Stillman-Corbitt
This workbook is for compulsive overeaters, food addicts, and binge eaters. These terms describe people who use eating and food to manage feelings and cope with life. Although the primary purpose of this workbook is to help you develop a relapse prevention plan and create a schedule of activities to assist in that goal, we believe you must first develop a definition of abstinence that works for you and an effective recovery plan that is life enhancing which we refer to in this workbook as a Healthy Living Plan.
This workbook and the research that went into it, was written to offer hope to those who use eating to avoid feelings and cope with life. We do not address Anorexia or Bulimia, but focus only on compulsive or addictive overeating. This is not another diet book. This workbook is designed to assist you in discovering and understanding your personal relapse triggers, which we call high-risk situations that could cause relapse in spite of a commitment to a Healthy Living Plan. (Based on the Gorski-CENAPS Model)
